Dear Georgians,
I hope you’ve been having great summers so far!
One of the best ways to ensure a good time during the warm season is by staying accident-free. Therefore, I’d like to discuss the importance of roadway safety.
Automobile crashes are prevalent throughout the U.S., unfortunately, and our state is no exception. As an Atlantan myself—as many of you are, too—I know too well how dangerous those busy highways can be. It seems like every day there’s another accident on I-85 and I-20, and many of the outcomes of those crashes are somber.
While the months of summer fun in the sun are wrapping up, so is the height of accident season. However, with Labor Day not beyond us quite yet, we still face one last holiday weekend that’s notorious for taking a high volume of car crash casualties.
With that said, I’m urging everyone who plans on traveling this Labor Day to exercise these safe traveling tips:
- Always stay alert and aware of your surroundings
- Drive defensively
- NEVER drink and drive
- Adhere to the posted speed limits
- Seat belts save lives—wear them at all times
As an accident and work injury lawyer, I can’t begin to tell you how many stories I’ve heard, cases I’ve represented and struggling families I’ve met because of senseless car accidents. I often think about how much tragedy would be prevented if we all just used a bit of common sense and good judgement.
Most people know me as Atlanta’s workmans’ comp lawyer, but I also specialize in car accidents. If you find that you’ve fallen victim of an accident-related injury, and the offending party is trying to scam you out of the funds to which you’re entitled, I want to fight for your rights.
But better yet, I hope you stay safe and don’t have to give me a call.
All in all, so long as you stay alert, always be aware of your surroundings, never operate a vehicle while intoxicated and drive defensively, you’ll have a good chance of making it through the Labor Day weekend unscathed, safe and sound.
Let’s have fun and stay safe this Labor Day!
Sincerely,
Darwin Johnson
